Helping out at School
At Littleport Community Primary School we welcome parents and carers help with a variety of activities both in and out of the classroom. We recognise that parents and carers have a variety of skills, talents and hobbies which can support and enrich the exciting curriculum already provided by the school.
Volunteering to spend a little time in school either on a regular or a less frequent basis working with small groups of children is most valuable and welcome.
In order to maintain a safe environment for all our children we ask that you undertake a full DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service ( https://www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check/overview ). Julie Warman our office manager will be able to supply these forms to you from the school office. All police checks are free for volunteers.
Additionally, you will need to meet with a dedicated safeguarding lead who will take you through our child protection policy and procedures. For further information about Child Protection, please see the Safeguarding section of the website.
If you feel you would like to donate some of your time helping in school, please contact the school office in the first instance who will meet with you to make the necessary arrangements.
