Welcome to the Summer Term in Year 3!

I hope you all had a relaxing Easter break and the children are all ready for the new term, which is full of exciting activities and discoveries.

We are lucky to have both Mrs Braybrooke and Miss Fretwell working with Seagull Class this year.  Both Teaching Assistants are fantastic fun to have in our class and are very good at helping us with our work.

This year, our topic is Buildings Through Time.  We will be investigating different types of buildings in Littleport and beyond.  The children have been very interested in this topic so far and we are all looking forward to doing more research into this.  This Summer term, we are focusing on Victorian buildings.

Our new "Takeaway Learning" menu has been sent home and we have already had some fantastic home learning returned to school.

If you have any questions or queries regarding school issues then please do not hesitate to contact me. Many thanks for your continued support.

Class Teacher

Our fantastic Autumn poem!

We were all so proud of Seagull Class when they performed their very own Autumn poem at St. George's Church during the annual Harvest Service. The children created the poem themselves and practised in groups to put together their final version. Every single child did a phenomenal job of learning their words, which they recited with confidence and gusto. Thank you so much to all parents for your support with learning their words. Mrs Bibby managed to take a recording of their performance in the church for you to enjoy at home.
We have started our Forest School sessions now.  These will be on Tuesday mornings.  Please send your child to school in warm clothing and wellies on Tuesdays, we will change into school uniform after the sessions.  Here are some photos of what we got up to in our first session!  Miss Rabelo is the Forest School leader and we have been having fantastic fun with her!

Seagulls performed their class assembly on 4th April.  They enjoyed telling us all about what they have been learning this term and also singing some songs they have composed and learnt.  The performances have been uploaded here in three parts.
