Welcome to the Spring Term in Year 3!

I hope you all had a relaxing Christmas break and the children are all ready for the new term, which is full of exciting activities and discoveries.

We are lucky to have both Mrs Braybrooke and Mrs Bibby working with Seagull Class this year.  Both Teaching Assistants are fantastic fun to have in our class and I am very grateful for the wealth of experience that they bring to our classroom.

This year, our topic is Buildings Through Time.  We will be investigating different types of buildings in Littleport and beyond.  The children have been very interested in this topic so far and we are all looking forward to doing more research into this.  This Spring term, we are focussing on buildings in Ancient Egypt.

Our "Takeaway Learning" menu has been sent home and we have already had some fantastic home learning returned to school.  We will be learning about textiles and simple stitching in DT this term, as well as continuing with our baking.

If you have any questions or queries regarding school issues then please do not hesitate to contact me. Many thanks for your continued support.

Please ensure that earrings are removed and that long hair is tied up on these days.

Our fantastic Autumn poem!

We were all so proud of Seagull Class when they performed their very own Autumn poem at St. George's Church during the annual Harvest Service. The children created the poem themselves and practised in groups to put together their final version. Every single child did a phenomenal job of learning their words, which they recited with confidence and gusto. Thank you so much to all parents for your support with learning their words. Mrs Bibby managed to take a recording of their performance in the church for you to enjoy at home.
