It's amazing how quickly the year goes but don't worry, we've still got plenty of things to enjoy in the summer term!
Our big focus over the next few weeks will of course be the SATs. Towards the end of the spring term, we ran a mock week to show the children how the assessments are run. At Parents' Evenings we will share this information with you as well ad a little more about how the results are presented and what they mean. You can help your children by supporting them with their home learning and reading with them regularly. We have been very pleased with their hard work and positive attitudes so far so please encourage them to keep it up!
After the SATs, our focus is on developing their writing portfolios as we can assess these later in June. It's really important that children attend school regularly to ensure they have a wide range of completed pieces so we can assess them fairly and accurately.
There will of course be lots of other fun things as well as some more work on transition as we help the children prepare for their next school. A good way to stay more up-to-date on what's going on in school is by following our twitter account: @LCPS07
As always, do come and see me if you have any questions or would like to come and help in the classroom.

Please ensure your child has the correct kit on the appropriate day. Earrings must not be worn for PE sessions and long hair should be tied back.
To promote healthy eating and to ensure your child stays alert, we recommend that they eat a piece of fresh fruit at break time and a suitable water bottle (clear) is available to use throughout the school day. Please note that children should only be drinking water.
