Picture 1

Dear Parents and guardians,

Welcome to Early Foundation Stage. Please make sure that you check your child’s Book Bag regularly for important information. Please remember we share any upcoming events or what we have taught each week on the boards outside the classrooms. Thank you for your support and sharing with us your child's experiences out of school child using 'Tapestry.'

Home Learning

Please see our home learning help page for the work, don't forget to keep doing our daily activities:

Daily Activities

Each day we would like your child to feel they have some routine that can be fitted around to suit your family. We would like all the children to access our daily songs/activities daily as they meet various areas of learning:

How’s the weather? Talk about the type of clothes they need to wear for the type of weather and why.

What day is it? How do you know? What was the day yesterday/tomorrow?

What month is it? How do you know? What happens each month? E.g. Celebrations, traditions, weather.

How do you feel today? Why? Allow children to choose and say the emotions they feel. Encourage them to speak in full sentences.

Play games- Any games inside or outside interacting with your child to support their turn taking, understanding of rules and how to communicate.

Active time: Go ‘out and about’ during your daily exercise or in the garden, allowing your child the time to explore and take risks. Talk about safety with them to teach them to think about the safety measures they will take (for example when on their bike). How many pets can you see during your daily exercise?

P.E Lessons

Please make sure that your child has a named P.E. kit in school (white T-shirt, shorts and plimsolls), hair is tied back and earrings are removed.
P.E sessions will be: Fridays

Forest School

The children will need to come to school dressed appropriately. In wet weather they will need waterproof outerwear and this term they will also need to make sure that they have their arms and legs covered at all times whatever the weather. They will always need their wellington boots, which should be kept in school at all times. Please make sure that children bring their school uniform to change into after the session.
Forest School will take place on: Thursdays

We share your child's learning journal with you. Please ensure you login with the details we gave you to keep up to date with their learning. You are able to share your child's learning and activities that they do at home, which is always great for us to see and share with the class. Please see the links below for any help on how to do this.
