Starting School - Reception September 2021

Do I need to apply?

If your child was born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017, and you live in Cambridgeshire you need to apply for Reception for your child to start in September 2021.

  1. Check you are applying to the correct council. If you are a Cambridgeshire resident you will make your application through the Cambridgeshire Admissions Team, even if you want to apply for a school outside of Cambridgeshire.
  2. Research your options, understand what a catchment school is and how it affects your application and school transport. Look at admissions data, school's inspection results and performance data.
  3. Make sure you read the 'First Steps' document. This will explain the application process from start to finish. The booklet also contains a list of all the Infant, Junior and Primary schools in the Cambridgeshire area, along with their allocation criteria.

EYFS Information Film 2020-21

Welcome and thank you for choosing to send your child to Littleport Community Primary School. This is a short video showing you a little glimpse of what life is like for children in Early Years Foundation Stage at our school. We also have an information presentation to accompany this video, which you can find below.

EYFS Transition Presentation For Parents and Carers

This is an information video for parents and carers who have children joining us in in EYFS from September 2020. Under normal circumstances, we would have held this meeting in person, however, we know that you will have a few questions about routines and expectations so have created this video instead and we hope that this presentation will answer them.
