My name is Steve Newton and I am the Inclusion Coordinator. Inclusion can seem like a complex and varied area, but it is basically a process concerned with the involvement and full participation of all individuals within the school community. My role encompasses Special Educational Needs, Child Protection and Safeguarding, and coordinating additional support needs for individual children.
I work closely with Mrs Fox and we welcome you to come in to school to discuss any concerns you may have, to ask advice or even to simply have a cup of tea and talk about how we can develop and improve our services.
My name is Bev Fox and I am the Children’s Support Worker at Littleport Community Primary School and part of the Child Protection and Safeguarding team. We want to be able to support children in every area of their schooling and wellbeing, so my role involves supporting children with social, emotional or behaviour difficulties. This can be done in small groups or on a 1-1 basis depending on the needs of the child. I also support parents, in school, or by signposting to another agency that can offer more specific support. This may mean that an Early Help Assessment form needs to be completed which will help us to access further support.
We are able to offer drop in sessions with Michelle West who is an Early Intervention Family Worker from Locality who offers parenting advice.
If you have worries or concerns, however big or small, regarding your child/children at home or in school please do not hesitate to contact me.
