Littleport Community Primary School

School Council

The School Council  meets regularly to share and discuss a range of issues and new ideas, suggested by the chilldren in each class.  Together we  work to make Littleport Community Primary School a better and happier place for all. The members of the School Council are democratically elected at the beginning of each school year.

At Littleport Community Primary School we strongly believe that the work of the School Council is vital to the success of our school.

Part of our role is in having a voice for pupils in the school.  Already this year we have organized a survey on school dinners, as well as a vote on a new name for the dining hall.

See our sections in the school policies that summarize some of the documents where we have had some input, and as they say, "watch this space!"

A Royal Visit to Ely 27.11.18

Our first engagement as a school council was to visit Ely Market Place. We had been invited to attend an extremely special event which included meeting HRH Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity” said Kieran. We all had an amazing time meeting the potential future king of the country, even if we did have to wait in the cold for a long time! Sophie even got to present the Duchess of Cornwall with some beautiful flowers. The day finished with an inspirational message from the Mayor of the City of Ely.
