If you need a longer conversation, you are welcome to book an appointment with us either in person or by emailing the school office. Please speak to the class teacher in the first instance, followed by the phase leader if you need further support.

When is PE?

Both classes have indoor PE on Wednesdays and outdoor PE on Fridays.

What should be worn for PE?

The national guidance has always been that no jewellery should be worn in PE. It is not safe to cover earrings/studs/sleepers with tape. Long hair also needs to be tied up.

Ensure PE kits include:

• A  white short-sleeved T-shirt (this must be suitable for physical activity)

• Black or navy shorts or jogging bottoms (weather dependent)

• A jumper or pullover (weather dependent)

• Trainers

Please note that our uniform expectations also include PE kits and it is essential that the clothes your child is wearing are suitable for physical activity and sports. 

Forest School

Both classes will be visiting the forest in Autumn 2. Ensure Forest School kits contain the following:

• A weatherproof all-in-one suit or jacket and trousers
• Wellies
• Hats, scarves, gloves (for the colder months)

Daily Expectations

Reading is an essential part of your child's learning. To support this, reading their school book daily can help develop blending skills, fluency and comprehension. Reading books will be changed every Wednesday. Your child will also bring home a library book to share with you at home. The children will visit the library every Friday to find another exciting text!
