Keep up to date with the latest news and Headteacher's Newsletters.
Dear parents/carers,
Some of you may be aware that the government updated their guidance on Friday evening to state that all parents and carers who are critical workers should keep their child(ren) at home if at all possible.
Thank you to all of the critical worker parents and carers who have already been in contact with the school to say that they will no longer need the school place they originally booked and will now keep their child at home following this change in the government’s guidance. The number of children in schools this lockdown compared to the last has been highlighted as a concern in the news this weekend and the fewer children that are in school during this lockdown will mean that the risk of the virus spreading and infecting the school community is greatly reduced.
We know that it can be very difficult for parents and carers to work from home while the children are there but we have designed our remote learning offer as best as we can to support this. We really appreciate your wonderful feedback in appreciation of these changes. Your support in keeping numbers in school as low as possible will really make a difference. Thank you!
Best wishes,

Dear parents/carers,
As you will no doubt be aware, the Prime Minister has tonight taken the decision to close schools to all but vulnerable children and children of critical workers. This means that face-to-face learning will cease for the vast majority of children and schools will move to remote learning instead until February half term at the earliest.
We have been given this information at the same time as the rest of the nation so, as I am sure you can appreciate given the late timing of the announcement, there are a number of plans that will need to be implemented and this takes time. This means that school WILL NOT be open to any children TOMORROW (Tuesday 5th January) whilst we set up for remote learning and get ready for vulnerable pupils and critical workers coming to school from Wednesday 6th January. We appreciate the significant inconvenience this will cause families whilst we make necessary arrangements and implement remote learning and apologise in advance.
If you or your partner are considered critical workers or your child is considered vulnerable AND you intend on sending your child(ren) in to school during this closure, please complete the following online form: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LCPSCWVFORM by 10am on Tuesday 5th January. Please fill in a separate form for every child you are sending in.
(Government definitions for critical workers and vulnerable children are available here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision) Further information will follow as soon as we receive guidance.
Thank you for your understanding. Stay safe.
Best wishes,

To help with the transition back to school, we have produced a video. We recommend that you share this video at home to enable children who are returning to become familiar with the new routines and expectations. We hope that you find it useful and reassuring so that you and your child(ren) are not returning to uncertainties.

Admissions will be writing to all parents and carers to advise if their child has been offered a space at their chosen primary school for September 2020 Reception.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak the school is currently closed to parents so we need to make changes to how we proceed in the present climate.
When you receive your offer letter, you can accept or decline the place by either:
1) Calling the School Office
2) Emailing the School Office - please use office@littleport.cambs.sch.uk (the SchoolComms email will not work for you, unless you already have a child at our school in which case you can use this method).
TO ACCEPT A PLACE:
In your message/email - please advise us of the following:
That you wish to accept the place
Your child's name and DOB
Your name, phone number and EMAIL address
Once the office receive your confirmation, you will be emailed with an application pack with instructions. You will then be able to complete the necessary school registration forms and email these back to us so we have the details prior to your child starting.
The application pack has been added to our website too - please click here to access this should you wish.
TO DECLINE A PLACE
In your message/email, please advise:
Your child's name and DOB and that you do not want/need the place.
Please note, you MUST email/call Admissions to advise you are not accepting the place - they will not be able to remove your child from our list until you can advise them of the name of the alternative school and provide confirmation that you have been offered a place. We cannot do this for you, so please use the details in the letter they send you to let them know.
If you have any queries at all, please get in touch. We appreciate there are a lot of questions when it comes to your child starting school and we will do our best to either answer your queries ourselves, or we can ask Admissions if this is necessary.
We look forward to hearing from you!
The issues with the heating have been fixed so school will be open on Wednesday 8th January 2020.
We look forward to seeing you all then!
