To book your child on a session, this can only be done using the paper form (not online at this time) – available from the School Office (or you can download from our school website).

A letter will be coming home tonight with all children to advise what we are pleased to announce two beneficial changes to our Breakfast Club and Stay and Play Schemes - firstly, we are now accepting Childcare Vouchers for both clubs, and secondly the Stay and Play club now has 3 session options.
Childcare Vouchers
Most employers who provide Childcare Vouchers do so through a salary sacrifice scheme. This means you agree to reduce your salary by a certain value, and receive Childcare Vouchers to the same value but pay no tax or National Insurance on these vouchers.
To join your employer's Childcare Vouchers scheme you first of all need to complete a salary sacrifice agreement. Your employer will give you directions on how to do this. After your agreement has been submitted to your employer, they will reduce your salary by the requested amount and arrange for vouchers to be provided to you.
For information about if the Childcare Voucher scheme is right for you, please visit: www.gov.uk/childcare-vouchers-better-off-calculator.
If you currently claim tax credits, please contact your local tax office to discuss (as each case is individual we cannot advise on whether paying for childcare will affect your entitlement).
Stay and Play flexible sessions
To offer more flexible after school care, there are now three sessions available to you:
The full session – 3.15pm – 5.45pm - £8.50
First session – this is a shorter session, from 3.15pm – 4.30pm and the charge is £5.00
Second session – from 4.15pm – 5.45pm and the charge is £5.00. This session is useful for parents whose children attend other after school activities, such as All4Sports, or a school run club.
Sessions can be booked via the School Gateway (please make sure the School Office have your correct email address to ensure you can create an account) at www.schoolgateway.com or via the paper based form which you can pick up from the leaflet holders to the left of the school office (or just ask in the office).
The SATs presentations, which were shown at the Parents Meetings this week, are now available to view as follows:
Year 2 - Go to 'Pupils, Year Group' and then select Finches
Year 6 - Go to 'Pupils, Year Group' and then select Kestrels
The videos are at the end of the page.
It's very exciting news that LCPS will be running their own Breakfast Club and Stay and Play from 1st February 2016.
Breakfast Club runs Monday to Friday, term time only, from 07.30am until 08.45am. Stay and Play will be after school, from 3.15pm until 5.45pm, again term time only.
At both clubs children will be offered different activities as well as a healthy food choice, such as cereal, toast or fruit.
To book a session, the easiest way is via the School Gateway app where you can select the sessions you want and pay as you go. Alternatively, you can complete a paper form (please see the School Office) and then we will add the sessions to the online system for you.
For all terms and conditions of our clubs, please click here: http://www.littleport.cambs.sch.uk/breakfaststay-and-play-clubs/ All forms are available from the School Office, so please just ask and we will be happy to help.
Dotty McLeod from BBC Radio Cambridgeshire came to visit us earlier in the week and filmed some of our children for their Christmas song...
The video is now up on their Facebook page – you can take a look at http://on.fb.me/1Yh9r9z.
We hope you like it! The children are fantastic!
We're sending home a questionnaire with every child today - please let us know your views on the possibility of Littleport Community Primary School offering 'wrap around' care with a Breakfast Club, After School Club and Holiday Club - fill in your questionnaire and return by 13th November- the questionnaire can also be found under the 'Parents - Letters Home' section of our website: http://www.littleport.cambs.sch.uk/letters-home/
Our Rugby World Cup week kicked off on 21st September!
To celebrate this exciting event, our classes each 'adopted' a country taking part, and learnt all about that country during the week. They might have learnt about the flag, the language, traditional dance, culture, history, made some food and so forth.
Everyone had a go at and had lots of fun playing rugby too, with a mid-week tournament officiated by Mr Newton and Mr Fox.
Then on Friday we 'travelled around the World' with everyone given a passport and visiting Argentina, Japan, Samoa, South Africa, Fiji, Australia...what a long trip! In each country children did quizzes and found out interesting facts, as well as sometimes trying the food! BBC Radio Cambridgeshire also visited us and the Ely Standard covered the fun (you can listen to the feature and read the story in the 'We're in the News!' section of 'Our School').
Our thanks to Mrs Pearce and Miss Crack for organizing our exciting Rugby World Cup week!
